Trained in composition at Houghton University by Grammy-Nominated Composer Dr. Carrie Magin, Samuel has composed incidental music for two K-12 plays: “The Christmas Carol” (based on the book by Charles Dickens) and the comedy/thriller “Sherlock: Baskerville” (based on the book “The Hound of the Baskervilles” by Arthur Conan Doyle). His score for “The Christmas Carol” featured a forty-person ensemble: a small pit orchestra, men’s choir, children’s choir, and handbell choir. Both plays were performed with Samuel’s music by the Oaks Classical Christian Academy Theatre program.
